All our river guides are highly trained and qualified at what they do, often training new and up coming guides from all around the globe. When our quiet season comes around you’ll find most of our guides head off overseas to further themselves or pass on their knowledge with other white water operations around the world. Our staff training program ensures that everyone really knows stuff and also gives our trainee guides the opportunity to learn from the more experienced staff members.
From the Jungles of Honduras to the Wildness of Africa, Sonny’s experences are of huge asset to the team. Si is the happiest person on EARTH! With his genuine unrivalled enthusiasm for life and all things water based, you can never go away from a trip not beaming. You would be hard pressed to find someone more suited to raft guiding than Camo, having spent the last decade working his way round the world from deepest darkest Africa to the rockies in Canada. He is our silver back’, he keeps the tribe organised and the two ankle biters in check.
Not only involved with the daily running of UDNZ, his broad skills base crosses all levels from upper management, training, river guiding to driving the bus, these always see Tim with something to do. A real happy go lucky kind of character, Muel likes to join us for a bit of summer fun. As it turns out he is pretty much useless, except when it comes to licking you in the face and retrieving sticks from the river. That’s why Tim leaves him at home most of the time, but he does have his own life jacket!.
